Better Photos

Step more and more to finding the photographer in me day by day. The class explores new ways to take photos. Today I learned about a new technique of photo taking called the "Rule of Thirds". To learn the technique we were sent on an assignment to put it to action. My camera had a 3x3 grid already so it made it much easier for me, or I would have had to imagine the lines.
The Rule of Thirds helps you take better or more beautiful pictures although it is not necessary always. It helps you focus in on the subject or object of your photo by using the grid lines to focus on certain points of interest. This method of photo taking can be applied to portraits and also landscape pictures. During our assignment time I walked over to the physic lab and caught a picture of a teacher working. Using the Rule of Thirds I was able to focus on the teacher using my points of interest while at the same time showing nice scenery.
