| Colorful flowers Taking At Rutgers by Leo |
Friday was a very interesting day. Throughout our learning experience we went over the basic features that help become a better photographer. What we basically learned were the elements and principles of photography. It really helped photographers through their pictures that the class watched and discussed about. At first it was confusing but later on through the explaining of Dr.Lansing I understood how it was used. At that point it got so much simpler. Then he gave us our assignment.
What we had to do this time was to take 5 pictures of anything that involved the elements and principles of photography. Basically what the elements contained were emphasis, balance, unity, and contrast. What the principles contain are color, value, texture, lines, and shapes. Since yesterday we had gone to a field trip I had pictures that contained at least on of these things. Dr.Lansing had told us we could use those photos as long as they had one thing that either involved the elements or the principles of photography. So to make my life simpler I used those instead of going out and searching for some which is not an easy assignment.
My picture above was taking at Rutgers. My picture of the flowers and leaves involve the principle;color. What makes this an even more interesting picture are the drops on the flowers. The color really stands out because they are both different. It gives and idea on how color can be used. It can be used by capturing something with many colors or just one color with different shades of it. I really liked this picture because on how there is many color involvement in it. Also before i forget this picture wouldn't be up here without the main rule. The rule of thirds. I used that to my advantage because of the background that it has which is very colorful. Now the question is what will do the following days ? Will it involve hard work? Or will it just be a simple task ? Stay tuned in to find out.
