On this assignment we took the path train to Jersey City. When we arrived in jersey city we were at the Manhattan skyline. When we first go there I thought there would be hundreds of photos to take, but when I got outside that totally changed. The weather to me really screwed me over, because there was a lot of fog and it was drizzling and the sky looked very boring and plain. When we first got there I took one of my favorite photos which was of my classmate Yan looking down and the skyline in front of him.
The weather in my opinion threw me off completely, because with the rain I felt that there was no good photos to take but I was wrong. At one point during the trip i sat down for a couple of minutes to sit and think of a photo. While sitting it finally hit me. It was using the bench as natural framing and my friend Yan was in the frame and building was behind him. This was probably one of my best photos. I learned on this trip that I cant let the weather get to me and that sometimes you just have to sit down and relax and think of your photo.
Terrific work on a not-so-good-weather day. You took advantage of what you had. Keep pushing yourself to improve, and to investigate other compositions with your pictures. -DL
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the coil should definitely be shown at the exhibit at school. -DL
