We went to New York this week...three times...in a row. It was great. I haven't been to New York in about two (2) years (or so I believe; wasn't counting), so it was nice to visit again.
The picture on the right was taken there. It is probably one of the best pictures I've taken all semester. Most people I show this picture see in it a couple who don't really like each other. It's strange because right before I took this picture, they seemed to be having a fairly good conversation. I caught them just as they took a break from talking. The man, who seems to be turning his head away was actually scratching the back of his head.
We went to the Brooklyn Bridge on the second (2nd) day. We first attempted to visit the World Trade Center Memorial Site but were unable to. Apparently, it was by reservation only. It was nice of Doctor to try to make my wish come true though. From there, we made our way to a park, where we took some pictures before making our way to the Brooklyn Bridge. We were allowed to walk around the area for a while before meeting up again, then being sent on another assignment.
I took this picture during the second assignment. It was right after I came out of Wall Street and was getting ready to make my way back to our rendezvous point. It was a strange structure yet attractive structure. This picture, although underexposed, has a beauty to it. The version with the right exposure does not look as good, in my opinion.
The third (and last) trip was probably the best of them all because we got to visit Times Square and Central Park. The picture on the left was taken at Times Square. It is a reporter getting ready for a newscast, most likely about Facebook going public because that is what was on some of the billboards in the area at that time. I almost missed this shot actually. I was walking by them when I turned to look at what was on my left. I looked, turned my head and quickly looked back again. I quickly grabbed my camera and stepped back, looking for the perfect shot. I really like this one. It's one of my best photos.
This week's trip to New York was certainly fun. I was kind of hoping that this coming Friday's trip was going to be another trip to New York, but as of now, I am not sure. All I know, as of now, is that it's a museum. I have no idea where it is but hope it is in New York. I want an excuse to go there again.
Good job Gordan. These are some great pictures! :)
