Product Photography by Gordon O.

Today's lesson was on Product Photography. It was probably one of our most difficult lessons yet. It sounded simple at first but then turned into an entirely different story when it was actually time to apply it. The most difficult thing today was probably setting up the background. We had to make sure the focus was on the product and the background was simplified. It took me several tries and angles to get a good shot.

In order to get the photograph seen on the right, I had to first make sure the background was simplified. I did this by putting A4 paper under the mouse and putting my camera on 'Background Defocus' mode. This made the background simplification even easier. Next, using my camera, I made sure I had a good angle then put the image in focus. From there, I went ahead and took the picture. I did this for quite a while before getting the image seen above. It's not perfect but still the best among all my other trials.
