trip to Newark

Yesterday the photography class went to NJPAC. We were supposed to take pictures using the Rule of Thirds. We went walking by Rutgers, North Star, and NJPAC.  Dr. Langsang told us to take twenty pictures but I took ten extra pictures. Walking to NJPAC was quite fascinating and exciting when I went as a photographer. The thirty pictures I took were better pictures then the five pictures I took on the second day on Photography class. When Dr. Langsang told us to take picture using the Rule of Thirds  I was not sure if I could do it but when I started taking pictures I knew the pictures were awesome.

The first field trip was to NJPAC but I am still wondering which field trip would be next. The picture that was a good picture using Rule of Thirds is the one I took near the Hall of Records with the picture of part of the West Market St. The trip was great and I  can't wait til the trips to Jersey City and New York City.

  1. Ruben: what is the main emphasis of this photo? If it's the white building (of Essex Community College), then it's properly composed using the Rule of Thirds. The rest of the photo seems a little too distracting, though. Thanks for your posting.

  2. i agree with Dr. langsang, at first when I look at the photo by first glance I can't see rule of thirds. there is too many distractions, you should of zoomed in more in my opinion.
