Trip To The Waterfront Of Jersey City!

I had a very special reason why i picked each photo. I picked this traffic light photo because it emphasis the rule of third. In a viewers mind, one might think that i was trying to take a picture of a Jersey City building. But actually i was taking a picture of a red light, but when using the rule of third & a little focus, i was able to drift my subject. Even though the traffic light is not the center of attention, it still demands attention thanks to my focus in this picture. This photo was very different for me.

When at Newport mall, i came across the store "Lids" where i spotted these hats. These snapbacks display so much color and life, i just had to take a picture of it. At first, i didn't want to take this photo, but it was just so cool. I could not help myself with these hats. Mr.A helped me realize how special this picture was. He told me about a guy who made 4 MILLION DOLLARS just by taking a picture of lined up candy in a grocery store. I was so shocked. It just made me love this photo even more!

Now this photo of flowers was perfect. The lesson was to focus on one subject and blur out its background. I feel like i did a great job. This photo looks like it can be a screensaver for any computer. Well when you first open it, because everybody knows you put yourself, or a sexy girl, or your family as your background on a computer. Nevertheless, I feel like this is the best photo i have taken with my camera so far. Dr. Lansang feels the same way, so that's a good thing!

  1. You've done a good job showing color, especially in the 2nd and 3rd photos. I like how the color kind of jumps out of the screen when I look at them, especially with the 3rd photo. The 2nd does a good job showing originality and creativity. There are not many pictures on this blog like that one. I have to agree with you. It does look cool. Really great job on both pictures.

  2. Kevin: the photo with the hats is simply TERRIFIC. And the purple flowers picture, as I had already told you, is also very good. Your work is improving steadily. Please make sure that your parents get to see the good work that you're producing with the nice camera that they got for you. -DL
