On our first trip we walked around Newark. As a class we took pictures
of many things. We started in the park besides the school and went as
far as NJPAC and back. Our assignment was to take as many photos as we
liked and to particularly focus on the rule of thirds. I though as a
class we covered almost everything we were shown. Also some students
went as far as to find completely different and unnoticed things the
class missed. As a class we covered all there was to cover in our walk.
I focused on inanimate objects in most of my pictures. I would apply the rule of third to most of them. I find it easier to use the rule of thirds on people and find it harder to use it on inanimate object. That is the reason why some of my photos were centered. I thought, though, that some of them came out right. I looked for things people missed and didn't take pictures that I knew others took because i wanted to be original.
This photo was composed nicely. You were able to see how putting the rose off to one side of the photo might allow the viewer to see the 'context' or the location of the flower. This post is nicely written; thanks for posting, and I'm glad you had a good trip.
ReplyDeleteNice Picture it fit what was your goals the whole time in the trip and Great Post Alex you should keep taking picture like this in next trip.
ReplyDeleteI really like your photo. You captured it very nicely. This photo shows beauty because in the mist of what looks like dying stems you have a beautiful rose. Great shot. I also love the way you wrote about the trip.
