In the lesson today, the class learned about the Rule of Thirds. The Rule of Thirds divides a scene into 9 equal parts. It aligns the subject/ object with the point of interest and with the grid lines. The rule of thirds was a little complicated to me because my camera does not have grids built which made my picture of the water fountain off the point of interest. It took me 5 tries to take the picture of the water fountain because I did not place it in the point of interest. But thanks to Dr. Langsang's advice and the help of Yan and Ryan my picture of the water fountain followed the Rule of Thirds.
I placed the water fountain's stream of water with the imaginary grid lines and came to be a good picture that followed the rule of thirds. In the imaginary grid lines I placed the stream in the intersecting lines. The fifth picture looks better than the first picture I took. Can't wait for the field trip to the area of Military Park so I can test my photography skills that I learned from Monday and today.
