I was very excited to take pictures in Jersey City. evens and I had originally went the wrong way but luckily he asked for directions to the mall because I thought we were going the right way. There was nothing much to see on the street, the pier also had very little to see. We were walking down the pier and I saw this sculpture and decided to try to capture what he sees.

As we were walking down the pier we saw a woman and a baby, the baby was playing in a puddle. so we asked the woman if we could take pictures, because to me that was like the most interesting subject that I had the whole day, some of the other stuff was already a subject for a previous class. It was hard to take a because the baby was constantly moving but I managed to get this one.

I was walking around the pier heading to Newport mall, and I couldn't find any interesting subjects. I felt like there wasn't much to work with and I knew I wasn't going to get much Photos. Then I saw a good photo but people were in the way. So i just decided to create a good subject, I picked some berries and put them on a nice plain surface then I through some rule of thirds in there and I got this.
Cute kid. Definitely seeing the rule of thirds at work here. Would have been even better (in my opinion) if you were able to get him just a little bit lower on the grid line though but I understand you were already having a few problems getting a steady shot of him, from reading your blog post. That's understandable. Other than that, great picture. Made me smile.
ReplyDeleteYour photos that you posted all have the same gray tone; it's almost like a 'theme', but they are a good representation of the improving work that you've accomplished.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are interesting and i like how you took shots of the texture of the water and rocks and patterns of the tiles and water ripples.
